This model is offered as a limited fully hand-built release, with multiple liveries available.
A deposit is required to reserve a build slot:
- HO scale: 50% deposit of the final price (50% of $449)
Deposits are deducted from the final balance.
The remaining balance will be invoiced when your model is ready for delivery.
Construction of this limited production run will commence in August.
About the Model
The Sydney Baldwin Steam Tram Motor has been developed as a detailed representation of this distinctive era of tramway operation.
Multiple liveries will be available for this release, reflecting different historical and preserved examples. While variations differ slightly, each represents a documented or preserved form of the steam tram.
The model can be built in either the early two‑man configuration, with headlights mounted below the roof canopy, or the later one‑man configuration, with headlights mounted on the roof.
Each model can also be supplied with your choice of running number and destination sign, allowing for a degree of personalisation within the production run.
Drive & Performance
The model is powered by Steam Era Black Beetle drives, selected for proven reliability and smooth operation.
Future Expansion
Following the August build run, a range of steam tram trailers is planned, including both single-deck and double-deck variants to suit different eras and operating conditions.
In the meantime, the existing ballast trailer and hearse vehicle currently available are suitable for use behind the steam tram motor.
Production Capacity
This run is expected to be limited to approximately 10–15 models, depending on workshop capacity.
Build slots are carefully allocated to ensure each model is completed to a consistent and high standard.
Once all available build slots are allocated, the model will be listed as sold out.
